Established in 2010, the NZ Barok Board has been an integral part of our organisation.
The Board plays a pivotal role by offering valuable advice, direction, and steadfast support to the NZ Barok Executive Committee and the talented players who bring our music to life. Their unwavering dedication and expertise contribute significantly to the continued success and growth of NZ Barok.

Whina Te Whiu
Whina Te Whiu has worked in the library, archives, and museum sector for over twenty five years in the public, tertiary, iwi, and private sector. Currently Whina is the curator and manager of the regional museum in Kaitaia, the Museum at Te Ahu. Whina has recently taken on the role of Māori advisor to NZ Barok. She worked closely with writer/narrator Catherine Polglase and producer Helen Brinkman in the production of the Baby Baroque stories and waiata, helping achieve a bi-cultural concert experience for the Baby Baroque audience.
