ATOLL ACD 419 Soaring onto the RNZ Classical Chart at an impressive Number 3, this latest recording, described by Lara Hall as “the culmination of a long-held desire to record little-known 18th-century concerti for global audiences,” is a testament to the diverse musical landscapes of the era. Delving into the works of Torelli, Pisendel, and Benda, the recording unveils the distinct musical personalities of these three composers despite their close proximity, highlighting the rapid evolution of stylistic compositional nuances during the period.
