From the fiery brilliance of Italian Baroque to candlelit carols, from a weekend intensive for the next generation of period-instrument players to concerts for our very youngest audiences, and a grand choral collaboration to close it all out — NZ Barok's 2026 programme took us right across the breadth of what this music can do.

Well - what an outstanding Saturday that was! Two Well - what an outstanding Saturday that was! Two full house performances at St. Lukes's Church, Remuera - where Wellington's Tudor Consort joined with NZ Barok Orchestra. The stunning programme included Lotti's Credo (with its famous Crucifixus), Handel's Coronation Anthem "Let thy hand be strengthened" and glorious Renaissance polyphony from Byrd, Tallis and Gibbons — what a treat! NZ Barok would like to thank Auckland Regional Council Arts and Culture, Ōrākei Local Board, Athena Trust, the Sutton Family, Friends of NZ Barok and Chair Sponsors for their support of this event.
