NZ Barok turns 20 this year!! Join us to hear a selection of our favourite baroque pieces as we celebrate twenty wonderful years of early music making with music by Brescianello, Geminiani, Telemann, Avison, Rameau, Boyce and Vivaldi. “NZ Barok are a revelation… the distinctive sound of their authentic instruments in perfect balance” (Theatre Review). We are delighted to have soloists Jessica Shaw (recorder), Ben Hoadley (bassoon) and Greta Claringbould (soprano) join us for this special birthday concert.

Comprising leading baroque specialists from all over New Zealand, NZ Barok performs using instruments and playing styles of the period, breathing fresh life and vitality into baroque and classical masterpieces and lesser-known musical treasures from the 18th century.
